Paola A. has attended Christel House Academy from kindergarten through Grade 12. This fall, the proud Indianapolis graduate will attend Purdue University with a full ride scholarship.The Purdue Promise scholarship covers four years of university tuition, housing, meals, and books. “Purdue University is a much bigger school,” she admits. “It’s a little scary, but I’m really excited for the opportunity.” A strong academic student, Paola, plans to be a physician’s assistant. The PA program requires a four-year degree with two additional years of post-graduate education. “I’ve always wanted to be in health care,” she says. Paola is the first in her family to attend college.
At the recent Christel House Academy graduation ceremony, Paola was presented with the Knebel Character Award. The honor recognizes a senior who displays character that embodies helping others, has shown courage overcoming personal challenges, demonstrates determination, and lives Christel House values. “It means so much,” Paola says of the Knebel Award. “I’m very grateful.”
