Alumni teams from Christel House DORS, the adult high school, are returning to participate as a staff resource group. Brielle Petty, College & Careers Coordinator for DORS, says the opportunity to stay connected with graduates helps the staff make the DORS program better. Noe, Jariahe, Christopher and Charlotte are some of the former students sharing the challenges they faced and the obstacles they had to overcome. “We learn through our students and with them,” says Petty. Communicating with grads now taking college classes is especially helpful for the DORS team. “We want to be sure our teachers and lesson plans have students well-prepared,” says Emily Massengale, Principal of DORS. “Feedback helps future generations of students.”
