This month marks a powerful and transformational milestone at Christel House India. As part of our long-term vision to increase the number of students served at our Bangalore campus, the school has taken the first step toward increasing its capacity by 50 percent— that, once complete, will allow us to serve nearly 1,400 children and their families.

On Monday, May 26, the campus came alive with joy and anticipation as 70 bright young learners entered Kindergarten and Grade 1—taking their first steps on a journey that promises opportunity, growth, and lifelong impact. “This is a proud milestone in the journey of Christel House India,” shared CEO Jaison C Mathew. “We’ve achieved a major expansion in the country, and this wouldn’t have been possible without the incredible support of our donors, partners, well-wishers, and staff. Thank you for supporting us as we continue transforming more lives through education.”

The excitement began early in the day as school buses picked up the new students from their communities. Upon arrival, they were greeted with cheers, smiles, and high-fives. CEO Jaison Mathew personally welcomed the children alongside their teachers, guiding them into classrooms beautifully adorned with vibrant decorations and brand-new furniture—each space a gateway to a world of discovery. After settling in, the children enjoyed a nutritious breakfast, taking second and third helpings with visible delight. Teachers ensured that each child felt safe, welcomed, and happy, laying the foundation for a positive school experience from the start.

The day was filled with heartwarming moments: students received crisp new uniforms and shiny shoes, and their eyes sparkled as they proudly changed into Christel House’s signature yellow. Classrooms quickly filled with the sounds of rhymes, stories, songs, and laughter as the children immersed themselves in learning and creative activities. After a wholesome lunch and time spent bonding with new friends, the children wrapped up their first school day with fun activities and tasty snacks. As the buses dropped them off at home, they carried with them not only memories of a joyful beginning but the promise of a brighter future.
