Mountaineer inspires Christel House Mexico students

Last modified on July 10, 2025

(L-R) Macario Zamora, Head of the Vocational Guidance Program, Karla Wheelock, Grade 6 student Zareni, and CEO Javier Alarcón Benet

As part of the College & Careers program at CH Mexico, Grade 6 students had the opportunity to hear from Karla Wheelock, a renowned mountaineer and author, and the first Iberoamerican woman to climb the Seven Summits. More than just a talk, Karla’s visit provided a message of motivation and purpose. As students prepare to transition into middle school, her story reminded them that every challenge is a chance to grow – and with confidence and determination, they can reach their own summit. This unforgettable experience reflects the strength of our College & Careers program in inspiring students to dream big and aim high.
