Meet Clivito M., a driven Grade 10 student from Lotus River, Cape Town, who is turning his passion for learning into a powerful tool for others. While studying for exams, Clivito recognized that his study notes, visual aids, and revision tests helped him absorb complex material more easily. Rather than keeping these resources to himself, he was inspired to share them—and so Edu Nova Pro was born. This innovative study app—created by students, for students—is designed to support peers in mastering challenging subjects through simplified, engaging content.
Clivito didn’t build the app alone. He rallied a team of seven classmates and collaborated with students from Grades 8–10 to curate educational content across key subjects like Physical Science, Mathematics, Technology, Economic and Management Sciences, and History. The team used Word documents, screen recordings, and other digital tools to create interactive lessons, all of which were reviewed and verified by subject teachers to ensure curriculum alignment and accuracy.
Clivito’s ambition extends beyond academics. He hopes to become a neurologist one day, inspired by his late grandmother’s courageous battle with Alzheimer’s disease. Her journey sparked his interest in the human brain and a deep desire to make a difference in the lives of others. This same spirit of service is reflected in Edu Nova Pro, which will launch this week after two months of development and testing.
This remarkable project highlights the incredible potential of student-led innovation and importance of digital access in education—made possible with generous support from Dell Technologies. In fact, Dell is featuring Clivito and the Christel House South Africa technology program as a global case study in its latest Giving & Impact report. Congratulations to Clivito, his classmates, and the entire Christel House South Africa team!
