    Leading for Impact: Effective School Leadership in High-Poverty Contexts

    Leaders from across Christel House schools participated in the Learning Planet Festival, bringing together changemakers to shape the future of learning. Online viewers from countries and schools from around the world joined the Christel House webinar on January 24.

    During the session, Christel House leaders shared the work happening across our schools, offering practical insights and real-world examples of how leadership drives success in high-poverty contexts. It was a unique opportunity to celebrate the innovative strategies and meaningful impact that define Christel House’s mission, alongside perspectives from external thought leaders in education.
    Panelists included Sitara G. Chandran, Head of Education Strategy and Learning – Christel House India; Harry La Vercombe, College & Careers Lead – Christel House Mexico; Waahida Tolbert-Mbatha, Founder/Head of School – Kgololo Academy in South Africa; Dr. Ronald Fortune (PhD, MBA), Head of Academics – Christel House South Africa; Afua Dogbatsey, Head of Partnerships – Rising Academies in Ghana. Jason Scott, Executive Principal – Christel House Jamaica, moderated the discussion.
