What happens to a child’s potential when they never receive access to quality education?

We’ve met kids who can fix anything with their hands, kids who light up telling stories, kids who figure out math in their heads and then watch them have to leave school at 12 to sell things on the street. That light doesn’t go out; it just gets buried under survival.
