After years of exceptional leadership as CEO of Christel House South Africa, in January 2027, Adri Marais will transition into a new role as CH International’s Global Chief Advancement Officer. In her new role, Adri will lead Christel House International’s global development team, with an initial focus on strengthening Christel House’s worldwide fundraising strategy to support continued growth and the addition of more schools around the world. This transition will also allow Tal Gilad, Senior Vice President of Development, to focus her efforts on continuing to expand U.S. fundraising opportunities. “Given Adri’s deep fundraising experience, global perspective, and successful leadership as a school CEO, we saw a unique opportunity to retain her talent within the Christel House family while adding new capacity and fresh thinking to our fundraising efforts,” said David Harris.
“It’s been such a privilege to lead CH South Africa for the past eight, almost nine years,” said Adri. “I’m excited to take up this ambitious new role, which will align our fundraising efforts to our global expansion model, deepen relationships with existing partners, and unlock new opportunities to secure sustainable partnerships to expand Christel House’s impact to reach many more children and young people both in South Africa and around the world.”
