Children at Christel House India are continuing remote learning in Bangalore and Atal Nagar. Teachers are putting together homework packets that are delivered to student homes each week. The packets include worksheets for the children.In addition to the homework, Christel House India social workers continue to provide groceries and supplies for families. When new homework is delivered, the previous week’s work is collected and returned to teachers. In addition to written feedback, teachers call their students three times a week. Asha Bora, Science Teacher for Grades 5-8, is encouraged by the students’ hard work. “Teachers are happy to receive the worksheets, which gives the students an opportunity to continue learning,” she says. “But the kids miss the piping hot nutritious meals, their friends, teachers, and the caring, safe environment the school provides for them.”
