Christel House Jamaica to open in September

Alicia Francis has been an educator her entire career. She’s been a classroom teacher, a guidance counselor, worked in early childhood development and has 10 years of experience as a principal. As Principal at Christel House Jamaica, Alicia is focused on preparing for the school’s opening on September 7. Building a school from the ground-up is a daunting task. “It’s a lot of hard work,” Alicia admits. “However, we love a good challenge here at Christel House Jamaica – it’s coming together beautifully.” The school is being built in phases, with the first phase to accommodate elementary students. In September, the school will open with 180 students in kindergarten through Grade 2. Each year thereafter an additional 60 kindergarten students will be admitted. The high school phase will begin construction in 2024 and the school will grow organically until it reaches capacity at Grade 13. Principal Alicia is busy interviewing teachers and staff for the September opening. She’s excited for the impact the school will have on Jamaica. “Christel House will transform lives.”
