DORS students give (and receive) holiday cheer

For adult students at Christel House DORS in Indianapolis, the holiday season is a time to both give and receive. While they focus on earning their high school diplomas, students took time to provide help to others. The DORS Student Leadership Team organized a holiday pasta drive to support Second Helpings, a charity fighting hunger and poverty in Indianapolis. “We work hard to create opportunities for students to connect with community resources,” says Aimee Ladd, DORS Resource Specialist. “It was truly wonderful to see our students take the initiative to give back with such enthusiasm and passion.” DORS students also received some holiday help when local station, RadioNOW 100.9, chose to support Christel House DORS, delivering hundreds of toys to DORS students with young children. Noeli, who recently enrolled, has two children. She’s grateful for the support. “My kids will be so excited.”
