Neighborhood leaders, parents and educators visited Christel House DORS as part of an educational bus tour presented by The Mind Trust, an Indianapolis-based education nonprofit. The 26 community leaders met with DORS staff, teachers and students to better understand the school’s innovative model for educating adult high-school students. Feedback from the tour was “overwhelmingly positive” according to Holly Merchant, The Mind Trust’s Community Engagement Manager, with visitors expressing interest in getting involved with Christel House DORS as a result of the educational bus tour.
