Gardens offer learning opportunities

A garden can be a rich learning experience for a child. Thanks to volunteers from Micronutrients, 10 raised garden beds were built and installed at Christel House Academy West. The large planter boxes will offer students from all grades the chance for some hands-on learning. “We are so excited that the folks at Micronutrients partnered with us to build raised planter beds for our students,” says Alicia Hervey, Dean of Student Development. “The children are really excited to begin planting in the new beds. One student even said, ’This is going to be so fun. Can we start today?’”
